Choosing the perfect Colorado wedding venue can be a near-impossible task. Between the dramatic mountain backdrops, historic hotels downtown, and peaceful riverfront ranches, there are so many amazing places to celebrate the start of your new life together. For Monika and Kevin, their family’s connection to the land made their decision both easy and heartfelt. For generations, Monika’s family has been visiting Rist Canyon, a 120-year-old farmhouse tucked up in the foothills between Fort Collins and Bellvue. The canyon’s old-growth trees and whispering pastures hold so many special memories for Monika, making it such an amazing spot for their wedding celebration last summer.
Their day was made even more significant with the addition of incredibly personal details. Monika’s grandmother hand-painted the invitations and signage for the tables, and they placed colorful Colorado-grown wildflowers all around the space — a beautiful homage to the hills and mountains surrounding them. Chefs Hoolie and Juan cooked up a mouth-watering spread of locally grown food for dinner, using many of Monika and Kevin’s favorite ingredients. Monika and Kevin’s Colorado mountain wedding was everything they had imagined and more, and it was a joy to be a part of it!
