Classic looks never age, especially when it comes to wedding style. The draw of the good old days brings back a sense of nostalgia, promise and simple pleasures that carry a timeless grace.
This summer, Colorado county club shoot centers around the infectious feeling of young summer love featured against a basic yet sophisticated country club backdrop. Bright cherry reds pull in a fun, vibrant, youthful feel while setting a light-hearted vibe. The fresh white formal wear plays perfectly with the classic cherry red Ford circa 1958 and makes you feel as if you’ve traveled back in time.
The flower arrangements are a blend of Peony, Garden Roses, Orlaya , Oncidium Orchids, Garden Spray Roses, Ranunculus, Helleborus , Pepper Berry Foliage, Olive Branch, Cymbidium Orchids, Clematis, Mint, and Fox Glove, offering a lush mix of summer colors that bring the affair to life.
Accents like a pearl and garnet ring from the late 40’s, touches of lace and tall glasses of cherry bourdon cream soda make you long for the long hot days of summer when country club weddings were the affair of the season.
As a photographer, it’s fun to do a little time travel to capture the classic design elements that still influence weddings today. Especially using a medium such as film that so many of our family heirlooms were documented with. Even Grace Kelly would be inspired!
I loved collaborating with such talented wedding vendors here in Colorado! See more on from this featured at Elizabeth Anne Designs.
